How can I get Invisalign aligners?

CONSULTATION

During your consultation, your Invisalign dentist, Dr Thomas Meneaud, will discuss your teeth-straightening goals with you and examine your smile in order to determine your specific needs. He may also talk to you about how quickly you could reach your new smile, as well as your individual treatment cost.

INITIAL FITTING OF THE ALIGNER

When we begin your treatment, you receive several clear aligners of varying pressures on the teeth – the first one with a minor adjustment related to your treatment plan. These should be worn in accordance with the treatment plan agreed by your expert dentist at Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds.

REPLACEMENT ALIGNERS

Depending on the progress, you will receive a new set of Invisalign aligners at regular intervals throughout your treatment based on the movement achieved by the previous set. For example, if there is minimal movement, you may just need 3 aligners over a 3-month period.

COMPLETION OF TREATMENT- Your beautiful new smile is now complete and ready to show off to the world!!
Following your Invisalign treatment, Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds, will also include a complimentary tooth whitening at the end of your treatment to make sure you leave feeling happy and confident with your new smile!

Invisalign FAQs

What are Invisalign Aligners?

Invisalign Treatment is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. No brackets and wires, and none of the restrictions that come with metal braces. Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds, has been specialising in providing this Invisalign treatment to patients in Yorkshire for a number of years, with hundreds of happy patients celebrating their beautiful new smiles each year.

Who can have Invisalign clear aligners?

Here at Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds, we believe that Invisalign Treatment can be a great solution for both adults and teens looking for a virtually invisible method to improve their smile. The innovations and technological advancements in Invisalign treatments make it possible to fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, from simple to complex — all without interrupting your busy life.

Will anyone notice I'm wearing braces?

Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible — people may not even notice you’re wearing them. You can remove them to eat and drink, to brush and floss, or for special occasions.

They have no metal brackets or wires that could irritate your mouth or break, so no one should notice that you are straightening your teeth.

Will I have to sleep with Invisalign clear aligners?

Invisalign treatment works best when they can move teeth slowly and consistently. Invisalign braces must be worn at least 22 hours per day which should leave you time to remove them for eating, brushing, and flossing. At bedtime, just keep them on through the night and your teeth will be incrementally moving while you sleep! Because Invisalign aligners are made from comfortable thin plastic, chances are you won’t even know you have them on.

What foods should I avoid with Invisalign?

There is no need to avoid any foods with Invisalign clear braces, but it is important to clean your teeth after every meal. When you eat, food particles can remain in between your teeth even after you’ve swallowed. When you replace your Invisalign aligner back ono your teeth, these food particles can get trapped and cause problems. A quick clean after each meal helps to ensure good oral hygiene and keeps your smile looking brighter for longer.

How many aligners will I need?

This entirely depends on the treatment plan agreed with Thomas, one of our expert dentists. here at Primley Park Dentistry, Leeds. If there is more movement required, there may be up to 15 aligners needed. For minimal movement, we may only need 2-3 aligners over a period of 4-5 months.

Call us now on 0113 268 5645 to book your FREE virtual consultation to discuss more about your specific Invisalign journey.

Is Invisalign Painful?

Invisalign treatment moves your teeth by applying gentle, constant force.

Some people do feel a mild temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners.

Typically, people describe it as feeling “pressure”, not pain.

This is normal, and it is a sign your Invisalign clear aligners are working and transforming your smile to the best it can be.

Do teeth move back after?

Your teeth can have a natural tendency to want to move back to their original position. Therefore, following completion of your Invisalign treatment we will discuss the best way to retain your perfect smile with the use of temporary retainers. Removable Vivera retainers can be worn at night to prevent any future movement of your teeth but your dental expert can discuss the best option for you.

How is Invisalign made?

No more uncomfortable teeth molds!

Your dentist will customise your own clear Invisalign aligners using an accurate 3-D image of your teeth with Invisalign’s unique Scanner.

The aligners are then customised using SmartTrack material for a perfect fit. Finally, the aligner is individually trimmed to suit your gumline.
